Hub Drive
The Gogoro Eeyo1 Electric Bike is a rear wheel hub drive bike. For this particular make of bike the motor, battery and sensors are all in the rear wheel hub. The position of the drive motor in the rear wheel hub of the bike has specific rider qualities for that type of drive. A carbon fibre belt is used instead of a chain between the pedals and the rear hub, to increase dependability and reduce noise.
